Today, I decided to, after hearing so many good things, investigate the world of Restaurant.com. The I pay-less-than-face-value restaurant gift certificate deal seemed to good to be true but after a thorough investigation, I have come to the conclusion that it is definitely true and the savings are worth the visit but, there is a SMALL catch. Don't worry though, you will still result in great savings and being able to stretch your dollars.
The minor catch is that the restaurant might require you to spend a certain amount on your meal. For example, you buy a $25 gift certificate for $10 Restaurant A (no catch there, you pay $10 and get a $25 voucher/gift certificate) but your total meal at Restaurant A will need to be at least $35 . After it's all said done, you only paid $20 ($10for$25+$10 in additional food) for the $35 meal. Not bad at all. See below how these requirements will look like on their site.
